11 Police units are in the rented building, Difficulties in service

In Rukum West, the police are providing services from a rented building. According to the police, there are various problems when providing services from rented houses. District Police Chief Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP) Navraj Pokharel informed that 24 units including police posts, police stations, and local police offices are providing services in the district along with the district police office. 

According to him, 11 out of 24 units are providing services from rented buildings. According to DSP Pokhrel, when providing services from a rented building, there is a risk in terms of security as well as the problem of accommodation management for police personnel. He said that the concerned stakeholders including the local government have been drawing attention from time to time to build their own police building in the unit where services are being provided from the rented building.

now the police have their buildings in 7 places including the building of the district police office. With the help of the local level and other organizations, police stations have been built in six other places including police post Chhibang, Chhiwang, and Syalakhadi. Although it is easy to provide services from their building. It is difficult to provide services from the Area Police Office Athbiskot, Area police office Banphikot, district traffic police office, and Police Station Simli, which are providing services from rented buildings.

Similarly, Police Stations Purtimkada, Sarkena, Magma Naduwa, Jhulkhet, Jhulneta, Gotamkot, Nuwakot and women's barracks of the district police office are operating from rented buildings, according to District Police Office Rukum West.
