Two people died in Jeep Accident in West Rukum

Two people have died in a jeep accident at Deuta Khola in Sanibheri Rural Municipality-6, West Rukum. The District Police Office reported that the jeep (bearing license plate Lu 1 Cha 6029) crashed while traveling from Kotgaun (Ward No. 6) towards Khalanga, passing through Simli (Sanibheri-9), the rural municipality's administrative center. District Police Chief and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bed Bahadur Paudel confirmed the accident and the resulting two fatalities.

He stated that police personnel have reached the scene, and a team led by him is also en route from the district headquarters. The identities of the deceased have not yet been established. DSP Paudel also reported that four individuals sustained serious injuries. A total of 11 people were on board; the remaining five also suffered injuries but are reported to be in moderate condition.

According to Pahal Singh Gharti, the Ward Chairperson of Sanibheri-6, the driver and a woman died at the scene, though their identities remain unconfirmed. He added that nine others, including the jeep's owner Bal Bahadur Pun, were injured.
